Hello, I’m Jim Meason
Living in Rockton, Illinois, I've been deeply involved in the community—coaching sports, serving on the school board, church council, business organizations, and charities. As a proud husband and father of three and stepfather of two, I balance family life with professional commitments. My wife is in leadership with a publicly traded environmental services company. My oldest daughter is a Marquette graduate and Navy Officer, my son attends UW-Madison, and my youngest attends Beloit College. My step sons are thriving, with one being an Air Force veteran, an Illinois-Chicago graduate, and engineer, and the other working full-time in the food service industry.
My Story
I earned a Bachelor's from Southern Illinois University, a Master's from Georgetown University, and a law degree from American University. I graduated from Lane Tech HS in Chicago.
With 28 years in Naval Intelligence (active duty and reserve), I reached the rank of Commander, completing missions worldwide and returning from Afghanistan in 2012.
After working as a federal regulatory enforcement attorney in D.C. and practicing environmental law, I opened my Rockton office in 1997. My expertise includes estate planning, probate, Medicaid, business law, and real estate.
